Moving into a previously occupied home or apartment?
A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) inspection is required for new City residents before moving into a previously occupied home or apartment. It is performed by our Building Inspector. Click here for a checklist of items the Building Inspector reviews.
PLEASE NOTE: The CO inspection must pass BEFORE the City will turn on the water or authorize electric service.
Inspections are performed from 8:00-4:00 the next business day following receipt of payment. We do not make appointments. The Inspection Fee is $100.00.
After the CO inspection is passed, utilities may be turned on. To learn more about turning on City of Aubrey utilities, click here.
